Dick Harvey Williams, son of Clyde S. (1889-1978) and Isdell Ruth (Ramsey) (1892-1975) Williams, was born 1 February 1922 Michigan. He graduated from Okemos High School in 1940 and joined the Army Air Corp 28 October 1942. He was honorably discharged from military service 14 October 1945.

WILLIAMS - Aviation Cadet Dick H. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde S. Williams, of Okemos, recently reported to the Greenville army air field, Greenville, Miss., for further flight training.

Stationed at a B-17 Flying Fortress base in southern England are three Okemos men, ally neighbors, as well as graduated from the same class at Okemos. The youths are: Douglas Lewsader, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Lewsader; Dick Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Williams; and Loren Everett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Everett. Lewsader and Williams are B-17 pilots and Everett is a parachute rigger. Williams is transporting slave labor.
Dick married fellow 1940 OHS classmate Mary Ann Edgar, 15 March 1947, Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan. Mary Ann, born 9 February 1922, and Dick celebrated 46 years and 3 children together before her death 1 September 1993, Oakland County, Michigan. Dick died 13 November 2008, Oceana County, Michigan.

Williams, Dick Harvey, 86, of Pentwater, retired General Motors Corp. automotive designer, died Thursday. Celebration of life gathering 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Funeral Home, Ludington Chapel.
Dick and Mary Ann were interred Pentwater Township Cemetery, Pentwater, Oceana County.
