Daniel Leone - Class Of 1997 VIEW PROFILE

Daniel Paul Leone class of 1997

On  May 1, 1979, a beloved beautiful boy, Daniel Paul Leone, came into the world. He was born to Marcia and Vincent Leone of East Lansing. He grew into a handsome, athletic, artistic, charismatic young man with a heart of gold. His older brother, Jay, was always his watchful protective companion. Dan graduated from Okemos High School in 1997 after playing baseball, dabbling in photography and hosting more than one unauthorized party at his parents' home. Everybody loved Dan. There was not a mean bone in his body. He loved music, spinning as a DJ and dropped CDs of his own. He learned to build, working local construction jobs while attending the Residential Construction Program at Lansing Community College. At 22 years old Dan moved solo to San Diego where he continued to spin for a while and soon had built his own successful construction business. He worked, surfed, loved his dog, Cali, and warmed the hearts of all those that came into his life. He was a beloved beautiful man. Sadly, three years ago, an illness started. Dan battled hard to beat it but, at 33 years old, lost the battle on September 16, 2012. He will live forever in our hearts and minds. Dan is survived by his mother and father Marcia and Vince; brother Jay; step-mother Mary and sister Cecelia Rose; maternal grandmother Virginia Przybylski; many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and Cali. A memorial service is planned in the spring in East Lansing. Cherish every moment of every day.

Published by Lansing State Journal on Oct. 7, 2012.

Notification from Ted Prawat. "Dan was an incredible person, and could make people laugh with his kind, easy-going way."
