KASHYAP, SAMEER GAURESH class of 2004, of Okemos. Age 14, born November 22, 1985, died of natural causes June 9, 2000 - attained the Lord Shiv Padam.
He was a student of 8th grade in Kinawa Middle School, Okemos. Active in Boy Scouts Chief Okemos Troop 109, achieved the rank of Life Scout, active in religious activities and studied the Hindu Scriptures, participated in various Temple programs, youth groups. He enjoyed playing violin, bass guitar, singing, hiking and scuba diving. A kind and contented contemplative young person.
He always inspired his friends and community members by his positive thinking, simplicity, honesty, integrity and his respect for view-point of others. He hacf special regards for his violin teacher, Mrs. Sunny Cirlin and his religious guru, Dr. K..S. Sripada Raju.
He is survived by his father, Gauresh; mother, Suman; older sisters, Shubha and Mala; grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins living both in India and the United States. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 12, 3 p.m. at Okemos High School Auditorium. Memorial contributions may be made to either The Bharatiya Temple of Lansing, 955 Haslett Road, Haslett, MI or Okemos Music Patrons, co Kinawa Middle School, Okemos.
