Georganne Irene Lohman (formerly Cusick, nee Dickson) passed away May 27, 2024 at the age of 79.
Georganne was born and raised in the flowerpot neighborhood of East Lansing. After graduating from MSU she became a PE teacher in the Okemos schools, and later, after becoming a certified guidance counselor, worked in the Lansing school district. In between she taught weightlifting at LCC and on the side, started her own fitness company. She remained active in her retirement and split her time between Tennessee and Florida. She lived an active life filled with the love of travel, books, a large family and many friends. She is dearly missed by all who knew her.
Georganne is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Lohman; her children, Brendan (Jill), Phil, Jean (Bob), Greg (Susan); grandchildren, Remy, Jack, Devin, Sylvie, Riley, Nora, James, Lily, Will (Kellee), Evan (Kiersten); her siblings, Peggy (Nathaniel) Higgenbotham, and Tom Dickson; step-children, Holly, Dana, Shann, David and their families; treasured friends, Philip Cusick and Suzanne Wilson; and countless cousins and loving friends.
There will be an informal gathering Saturday September 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Meridian Sun Golf Course clubhouse.
