Anna L. Van Trump, 94, Blue Springs, a teacher, died July 5, 1992, at St. Mary's Hospital of Blue Springs. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Webb-Freer Chapel; burial in New Hope Cemetery, near Braymer, Mo. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
Mrs. VanTrump began teaching at Locust Grove, Mo., in 1914 and retired from the Blue Springs School District in 1967. She was named a "pioneer in education"* by the Blue Springs School District in 1984. She was a volunteer at an elementary school in Okemos, Mich., and was its 1982 volunteer of the year. She graduated from Central Missouri State College. She was president of the Blue Springs chapter of the American Association of University Women for four years. She was past worthy matron of the Braymer chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a life member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
She was a Methodist. She was born near Braymer, MO and lived in Warrensburg, MO and Russell, KS before moving to Blue Springs, MO in 1952. Her husband, Charles W. VanTrump, died in 1967. Survivors include daughter, Elinor L. Autrey, East Lansing, Mich.; a sister, LaVerne Shively, Braymer; three grandsons; and two great-.grandchildren.
Mrs. Van Trump was grandmother to Robert Even Autrey class of 1978.
