William David “Wilbur” White class of 1972, aged 71, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family and his trusted companion, Gizmo, on March 19, 2026. Wilbur was born on May 24, 1954, to Fred White and Phyllis White. Wilbur attended Okemos High School. His career journey was diverse before he retired as a semi driver for Premo Trucking.

Wilbur had a unique sense of humor and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His hobbies were as diverse as he was whether it was antiquing, gold mining, traveling, or gardening. While he was a quiet man, these activities enabled him to grow a community of friends, especially at Bonanzas in Lake Odessa. His love for fishing and hunting colored his days with excitement and tranquility alike. Wilbur’s spirit felt most at peace while spending time in Manistee and the Upper Peninsula, embracing the serene beauty of Northern Michigan. He also enjoyed the thrill of the casino. Travel played a significant role in Wilbur’s life, and he look forward to every trip as an adventure.

Wilbur’s memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Mary Ann White, and his loving daughters, Stephanie (Charlie) Mingoia and Sarah (Josh Gideon) White. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Everett, Benjamin, Harper, and Wyatt, who will miss their grandfather deeply. Wilbur is also survived by his six brothers, who together shared a lifetime of memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred White and Phyllis White, and a brother, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
