Marilyn Jean Bolton, Williamston Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away January 14, 2009.
Marilyn was born to Parker and Margaret Tooley. Her sisters were Joy West-Brill and Marvis Gillen. Marilyn was raised in Williamston for most of her life, attended M.S.U. and later worked at Okemos High School.
She married John "Jack" Bolton on November 25, 1947, who survives her along with their children, Jackie (James) Wheeler and Robert (Maria) Bolton; daughter-in-law, Sandra Harrison; her granddaughters that she thought the world of, Jennifer (Nic) Lloyd, Cheryl (Jason) Lockwood, Stasi Oliver, Laurie Bolton and Michelle Bolton; 6 great-grandchildren that she adored; and several nephews and a niece.
Marilyn loved her gardens and worked as a volunteer for over 30 years for the Ingham Regional Medical Center, Volunteers of Lansing and Tray Favors.
At her request there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m. in Summit Cemetery, Williamston, with the Rev. John Mills officiating. The family would like to thank the Stoneleigh Hospice House for their excellent and loving care.
