Lewey Eldon Fuller was among the students enrolled in the 1888 school year at Okemos Union School. Born 18 August 1872, Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan, he was the son of William Fuller (1834-1908) and wife Mary Ann (Burden) (1837-1921). Both William and Mary Ann were born in England.
Lewey, while single, worked with his father on the farm in Meridian Township. On 12 September 1902, Mason, Ingham County, Lewie wed Miss Grace Torrence. Grace was born 27 June 1885, Lenawee County, Michigan. The couple would have one son, William Eldon born 1904, Okemos. Unfortunately the marriage did not last and divorce ensued.
Lewey married Clara Ethel Parish, 13 August 1916, East Lansing, Ingham County. Clara had first married in 1889, at age 16, Fred Green Harrison. By 1900 the couple had divorced and Fred seems to have wandered off to Missouri. He died there in 1913 in the St. Louis City hospital. His home address was, "no home."
Clara, having had 7 children with Fred Harrison, and Lewey, with son William, became a blended family and moved to MAC Avenue in East Lansing. Lewey began, about the same time as his marriage to Grace in 1902, working at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) as a steamfitter. He would remain at that position until his death, 1 February 1938, with heart problems.
Lewey was interred Riverside Cemetery, Okemos, near his parents. Clara, born 23 September 1873, Illinois, succumbed to cancer, 10 September 1943, Lansing. She was interred Richview Cemetery, Washington County, Illinois.
