I notice the Kerry has experience in VISTA.  I think it likely that there are other OHS grads who have VISTA experience as well.  This might be an interesting topic in conjunction with the PEACE CORPS.

I just had a perspective idea on how we present the request for ‘articles’ from classmates.  This may be subtle but I think in could be important.  What we are soliciting are EXPERIENCES.  Although the request is to an individual due to that individual’s participation, it is not about the person as it is about the experience.  This may make some folks more comfortable than a perception that they are writing about themselves.  It is also consistent with the intent…I think.

Gary makes an interesting point that I concur with. In fact, when I hit upon the idea of "close encounters" as an organizing principle for writing my "book", more specifically, the vignettes, I see now that I personally felt that there was a story -- in connection with my "encounter" with a given individual (be he or she a well-known celebrity OR rather a person not widely known but nevertheless a "giant" in his or her field of endeavor) -- that I felt might be sufficiently interesting to write about and share with others.

All OHS alumni have surely had interesting experiences -- in connection with their years in college, their professional (work) lives, their travels, their hobbies/pursuits/passions, their work in support of charitable causes, or perhaps even their work in support of a political campaign, etc. -- that would be worthy of writing up and sharing with fellow OHS classmates across the years, via posting on your web site.

So I concur with Gary that potential contributors to the web site should not feel that the bar to be met is submitting an autobiography (though they would be welcome to do so) but rather do they some experiences that they feel other classmates would be interested in learning about -- and it would be a plus if they could highlight if there is/was some link between that experience and their studies/experiences while at OHS.
