Hurricane Irma South Florida Posted Friday, September 15, 2017 01:30 PM Joanne Sally Bowden Potts: I live in Pembroke Pines, Fl which is south Ft. Look Lauderdale. We have a lot of wind damage with trees and fences down everywhere but most of came through with houses still intact. Power is back up for about 3/4 of the my county which is Broward. Very, very scary storm but also very lucky. My brother Rob Bowden is in Apopka, Fl outside Orlando and the same for him. Power in his area is spotty still and internet and cell phones are sporadic but no casualties that we know of. It's going to take weeks/month for cleanup so be patient to here from friends and loved ones. Unfortunately during the hurricane my husband Ed passed away from cancer so it was a very difficult time for our family. I hope everyone else in Florida is safe. |
