Ann Marie Treppa, a long-time resident of Arlington Heights, died Thursday the 8th of April.
Born in 1941 in Highland Park, Michigan, Ann received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1964. She continued her education years later and received a Master's Degree as well.
Ann taught for several years in Okemos, Michigan, before moving to Washington and then to Illinois. She then taught Spanish in Arlington Heights for more than twenty years, at Arlington and Hersey High Schools, until her retirement.in 1994.
An avid reader, Ann enjoyed touring both picturesque and cultural settings throughout the United States and Canada, as well as many other countries such as England, Ireland, Scotland, France, and Switzerland. Ann also was very fond of concerts and plays, particularly musicals, and enjoyed attending theater in New York.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry, her son Jeff, her daughter in law Jane, and her three grandchildren: Morgan, John, and Madison.
